City staff held a concept review meeting on June 10, 2008 regarding a proposal to convert an existing church building, located on the southeast corner of East Texas Avenue and North Garth Avenue, to a funeral home.  In order to convert the church to a funeral home, the property owner would need to rezone the church site from R-1 (One-Family Dwelling District) to C-P (Planned Business District).  

The concept review is an informal discussion and review between the director of planning and development and the developer to discuss land use and development concepts, applicable regulations, and other concerns that may be raised. An application for approval of a development plan has not been received as of this date. If an application is received, the department will post additional notices.
