[planning-l] Public Information Meeting - Northeast Columbia Area Plan (NECAP)

The City of Columbiaand Boone County Planning and Zoning Commissions
will host a joint public hearing regarding the Northeast Columbia Area
Plan (NECAP) on October 15, 2009, from 6-7 p.m. in the Boone County
Commission Chambers (801 E. Walnut Street, Columbia, Mo). The purpose of
the hearing is to provide opportunity for the Joint Commission to make a
recommendation on the proposed plan prior to submitting it to the
CountyCommissionand City Council for final action. The plan area focuses
on the lands generally bounded by I-70, Lake of the WoodsRoad,
MexicoGravel Road, and Route Z in eastern BooneCountyand is intended to
guide growth surrounding the new high school site. All affected or
interested residents are invited to attend.
 
Copies of the report will be available four days prior to the public
hearing date, on the Boone County Planning Department web page
www.showmeboone.com/PB or the City of Columbia Planning Department
web page www.gocolumbiamo.com/Planning/index.html. Hard copies are
available for purchase at the City’s Planning Department or may be
viewed at either location.
