The City of Columbiaand Boone County Planning and Zoning Commissions
will host a joint meeting regarding the Northeast Columbia Area Plan
(NECAP) on September 22, 2009, from 6-8 p.m.in the cafeteria/gymnasium
of TwoMilePrairieElementary School, 5450 North RouteZ. The purpose of
the meeting is to obtain community input on the final draft report
intended to guide growth in northeast Columbiasurrounding the new high
school site.  The plan area focuses on the lands generally bounded by
I-70, Lake of the WoodsRoad, MexicoGravel Road, and Route Z in eastern
BooneCounty. The Planning Commissions invite all affected or interested
residents to participate.
 
The program schedule is as follows:
 
6 – 6:45 p.m., Open Q&A
6:45 – 7:30 p.m., Presentation
7:30 – 8 p.m., Open Q&A
 
Copies of the draft report are available at the City of Columbiaand
Boone County Planning Departments or on-line at www.showmeboone.com/PB
by clicking on the “City and County Joint Planning Commission” link.
