The Historic Preservation Commission's 2010 “Most Notable Properties”
event will be held at the Tiger Hotel, 23 S. Eighth St., on Tuesday,
Feb. 2, beginning at 7 p.m. with light refreshments. Planning Department
staff will display images of nominees from the past 11 years. Historic
Preservation Commission Chair Brian Treece will introduce this year's
award winners at (or about) 7:30 p.m. followed by a video presentation
of the historic properties. Award winners have been encouraged to bring
memorabilia (pictures, newspaper articles, etc.) to display at the event
and will have an opportunity to speak following the presentation.

Since 1999, the annual “Most Notable Properties” event has been an
opportunity for the public to view some of Columbia's fine historic and
architecturally significant properties and meet the Columbia Historic
Preservation Commission. The public is welcome to attend this free
event.
