Public is Invited to Provide Input on Transportation Project Priorities

(Columbia, MO) - Located in Columbia, Missouri, the Columbia Area
Transportation Study Organization (CATSO) serves the City of Columbia and
Boone County. The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has asked
CATSO to identify and prioritize projects important to our community.

The first step in this prioritization process is to obtain public input.
Citizens are invited to take part in two surveys:

   -

Values Survey: MoDOT has established four key areas that Missourians
have suggested are important to them--maintenance, safety, economic
development, and connections and choices. The Values Survey asks
participants to provide input on specific priorities within each of these
   key areas.
   -

Projects Survey: Participants are asked to share ideas for projects.

Both surveys are online at http://www.motransportationpriorities.com/catso.

A final prioritized project list is to be submitted to MoDOT in May. The
list will be used in developing MoDOT's long-range plan and to determine
what projects would be under taken if a 1-cent sales tax for transportation
proposal is approved by voters in November, 2014. For more information on
the project prioritization process, please contact the Missouri Department
of Transportation at 1-888 ASK MODOT - (1-888 275 6636) or facilitation
consultant Burns & McDonnell at (816) 333-9400.
