*YOUR REGION. YOUR THOUGHTS*. COLUMBIA AREA TRANSPORTATION PRIORITIES.
There is still time to propose projects and provide input on the
transportation priorities which matter most to you!
The values survey <https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/catso_values> and suggest
a project survey <https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/catso_projects>* are open
until 5:00 PM on Friday, March 28, 2014!*
Located in Columbia, Missouri, the Columbia Area Transportation Study
Organization (CATSO) serves the City of Columbia and Boone County.
*MoDOT has asked its planning partners, including CATSO, to identify and
prioritize projects important to our community.*
WHAT DO YOU VALUE?
The first step in this prioritization process is to hear from you. We
invite you to take part in a values
survey<https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/catso_values> that
will inform how we score proposed projects. MoDOT has established four key
areas that Missourians have suggested are important to them.
Missouri's Four Transportation Goals:
· *Maintenance*<http://www.missourionthemove.org/vision-for-the-future/maintenance/>:
Take care of the transportation system and services we enjoy today
· *Safety*<http://www.missourionthemove.org/vision-for-the-future/safety/>
: Keep all travelers safe, no matter the mode of transportation
· *Economic
Development*<http://www.missourionthemove.org/vision-for-the-future/economic-development/>:
Invest in projects that spur economic growth and create jobs
· *Connections and
Choices*<http://www.missourionthemove.org/vision-for-the-future/connections-and-choices/>
: Give Missourians better transportation choices (more viable urban and
rural transit, friendlier bike and pedestrian accommodations, improvements
in rail, ports and airport operations)
HAVE A PROJECT IDEA?
If you have a specific transportation project or need, be it for
automobile, additional transit service, sidewalk improvements, or other
type of transportation, which you feel would benefit our area; please
submit it using our online Suggest a Project
survey<https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/catso_projects>
.
PROJECT PRIORITIZATION PUBLIC MEETING
It is important to us that this process be inclusive, transparent and
accountable. With that in mind, we will host a public meeting to gather
feedback about our region's transportation priorities. Come and be heard!
