Dear Vision Partners -

Sustaining and preserving our community's cultural heritage will be the
theme of the next “connecting event" for Columbia's Visioning process.
Two or three volunteers are needed to help Assistant City Manager Paula
Hertwig Hopkins with a heritage-theme Vision display at the First Night
Columbia celebration. Paula needs volunteers to help her from 5 - 7:30
p.m., Wednesday, December 31, 2008 in the lower level of Stamper Commons
on the Stephens College campus.

The display will feature Vision updates with special emphasis on
community efforts to preserve the home and Ragtime musical heritage of
John W. "Blind" Boone. This is an opportunity to support Columbia's
Visioning process, listen to live Ragtime music by pianist Bob Ault and
still have plenty of time to enjoy First Night activities and
entertainment.

To volunteer, please contact Assist City Manager Paula Hertwig Hopkins
no later than Friday, December 12, 2008. Please call Paula at 874-7214,
or email her at PHHopkin at GoColumbiaMO.com.

Thanks for your continued help in making Columbia a connected, informed
and engaged community!
