Dear Vision Partners:

Implementation of Columbia's Vision plan continues to move along.
Creating a connected, informed and engaged community requires public and
private participation and partnership.  One of the ways to achieve this
is through connecting events that bring ideas, people and resources
together.  In that spirit, I am pleased to send you the following
announcement from the City of Columbia.

the City of Columbia for Keys to the City:  A Civic Awareness Fair
Saturday, October 18
9 a.m. - noon at the ARC, 1701 W. Ash 

§	Visit with members of City Council and city staff - bring your
questions!
§	Find out more about the services of more than a dozen city
departments
§	Have fun and learn about your city with our fun facts scavenger
hunt!

There is no cost to attend and refreshments will be served.  Children
are welcome! 

The goal of the Governance and Decision Making Citizen Topic Group was:
“Columbia’s governance is a model of transparency, efficiency and
citizen participation that enjoys the strong confidence of its
residents.” “Keys to the City” is an event which supports this
goal, the Visioning Project and Columbia’s effort to be a connected,
informed and engaged community.
