[youth-baseball-softball-l]: FREE MLB Pitch, Hit & Run Competition this Saturday.

[Youth Baseball/Softball Notifications]

You are invited to the 2015 Columbia MLB Pitch, Hit & Run Competition this
weekend.  This is a free event for boys and girls ages 7-14 (age determined
as of July 17, 2015).

This national program provides youngsters across the country an opportunity
to participate in an exciting baseball / softball skills competition.  Boys
and girls compete separately.

PITCH:  Participant is tested throwing strikes to a designated strike zone
target.
HIT:  Participant hits a ball off of a stationary tee for distance and
accuracy.
RUN:  Participant is timed starting at 2nd base, rounding third, then
touching home.

All events are individually scored.  Winners of each advance to the
sectional competition in hopes of advancing to a major league stadium and
even the 2015 All Star Game in Cincinnati, OH.

Forms can be found at 1 South 7th Street or the Armory Sports Center (701
E. Ash).  You can turn them in early, or simply walk up to register the day
of the competition.

Walk up registration begins at 9:30am on Saturday, April 25, and the
competition will begin at 10:00am.
