Office of Cultural Affairs Updates...
Annual Arts Organization Funding
Contracts for fiscal year '04 arts funding were sent to arts organizations on October 22. Signed contracts, revised narratives and/or budgets and responses to stipulations are due back to the OCA on or before December 1 and must be received before any payment can be made. If you have not received your packet or have questions about the process or what is required of your organization, contact the OCA, 573-874-6386, 7488tty, oca at GoColumbiaMo.com.
 
Small Request Funding
The next deadline for Small Request funding applications is December 10...applications will be for the second quarter of the OCA's funding, January through March.  Requests may be for up to $500 and must follow the below-listed guidelines (contact the OCA for a complete listing). Contact the OCA for application forms and guidelines, 573-874-6386, or use the on-line form at www.GoColumbiaMo.com (on the Cultural Affairs page).
* Funding is limited to one request per project. If a project is funded in the regular funding cycle it is not eligible to be considered in the Small Request category. Multiple projects from the same agency are allowed.
* Funds are available to agencies with total annual budgets of no more than $500,000 and only to arts agencies.  Collaborations are allowed, but only with an arts organization holding a 501-C-3 status as the lead agency.
* OCA does not fund capital outlay or perishable items.
 
Arts RoundtableJoin us after the November 10 Commission on Cultural Affairs meeting for an informal networking opportunity with other local arts enthusiasts and members of the Commission; refreshments will be served. The Commission meeting starts at 4:15 and is in the mezzanine conference room of City Hall, 701 E. Broadway. You may sit in on the Commission meeting or come afterwards for the Roundtable get-together which will start at approximately 5:00. Arts administrators, board members and volunteers are encouraged to attend.___________________________________
