interested in expressing their comments to the City Council. *


A week from today, on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, there will be a City
Council Public Hearing about The Columbia Electric Transmission Line
Project. This is a special, second public hearing (the first one was in
July 2013) on route selection for The Columbia Electric Transmission Line
Project.


Following the public hearing in 2013, the City Council voted to approve the
current route, known as Option A. This was after a lengthy process where
Council considered multiple routes known as Option A, Option B and Option
B-2. The graphic on the back of the attached letter provides a snapshot of
the community communication and decision-making that has occurred on this
project.Property owners near any of the route options will be sent a
certified letter and all electric customers will receive a letter mailed
first class.



You are being sent this e-mail to forward to your interested group(s) about
the hearing, attached are three separate documents for your use in
announcing the public hearing. If you find it helpful, a sample e-mail and
social media post is attached to help with outreach.
