Hunter information meetings scheduled

	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The City will conduct two public hunter
information meetings for those citizens who are interested in hunting on
one of four city properties designated for deer hunting during the
archery deer season.  The City will offer bow hunting opportunities on
properties at Grindstone Nature Area, the Sanitary Landfill, the Sewer
Utility property along Perche Creek at Strawn Road and a portion of Twin
Lakes Recreation Area.
	The meetings are scheduled as follows.
	Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at 2 p.m., Activity and Recreation
Center
	Thursday, September 9, 2004 at 6:30 p.m., Activity and
Recreation Center
	In order to hunt on one of the four locations, hunters must
attend one of the two sessions, that will last about one hour.  City
permits will be distributed only at these meetings.
	Additionally, hunters must fulfill the requirements of the
Department of Conservation.
