City publishes Christmas holiday schedule

COLUMBIA, MO (December 21, 2004) -- City offices will be closed on
Christmas Eve, Friday, Dec. 24. Offices will reopen on Monday, Dec. 27.

Collection of residential refuse, recycling and yard waste will be made
on the regular schedule on Friday, Dec. 24.

The sanitary landfill will be open on Dec. 24, but closed on Christmas
Day.

City buses will operate from 6:25 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Christmas eve,
Friday, 
Dec. 24, but will not operate on Christmas Day, Dec. 25.

Parking meters will be enforced on Dec. 24, but not on Christmas Day.

Though administrative offices for both the Police and Fire Departments
will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, all other emergency
services will be available.
