One lane of Walnut Street closed on Thursday

	(COLUMBIA, MO) - Columbia Water and Light will repair a water
main leak on Thursday, July 22, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Walnut Street
between Hubbell Drive and Short Street. The work will be done in the
westbound lane of Walnut and will restrict traffic to one lane.
Motorists are encouraged to use an alternate route.
	Water service in the area is not expected to be disrupted other
than the one residence where the break occurred. After the repair work
has been completed, the water lines might be flushed. In which case,
customers could notice a slight discoloration in their water. Customers
that experience this problem should let the water run for a few minutes
until the discoloration has disappeared. The water will continue to be
safe to drink.
