Traffic restricted on Rollins Street for water line construction

	(COLUMBIA, MO) - Columbia Water and Light will install a new
water main line under Rollins Street from Providence Road to Maryland
Avenue beginning June 14.  Construction work will restrict traffic to
one lane from Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., until
mid-July. Workers will remove an existing 4-inch water main and replace
it with an 8-inch main to increase the amount of water available in the
area for fighting fires. Since traffic will be restricted to one lane,
motorists are encouraged to avoid the area if possible. Customers will
be individually notified if water service in the area needs to be shut
off during the repair. Poor weather conditions might cause delays in the
construction schedule.
