Charlie Lohse retirement
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department
would like to congratulate Charlie Lohse on his retirement after 42
years, 11 months of service. Charlie began his employment in June 1961
as a laborer in the Street Division. In February 1963, he joined the
Fleet Operations staff as a vehicle mechanic and was promoted to
assistant shop foreman in March 1975. In September 1975, he was again
promoted to public works supervisor II. In July 1996, he was promoted to
shop foreman, his current position.
	There will be a retirement reception for Mr. Lohse at the Public
Works Operations Center at 1313 Lakeview Street at 8:30 a.m. on Friday,
May 14, 2004.
	Charlie Lohse has been instrumental in maintaining the city's
fleet of vehicles and equipment. He is a dedicated employee and will be
missed by all.
