Closure of the westbound lane of Rollins Street, immediately west of
College Avenue

	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department
announced today that beginning Wednesday, May 19, at 7 a.m., the
University of Missouri will begin repair work on underground steam
tunnels. This work will result in the closure of the westbound lane of
Rollins Street, immediately west of College Avenue to Virginia Avenue. 
	A detour route will be marked as follows: Westbound Rollins
Street traffic - from College Avenue, proceed south to Hospital Drive.
Turn west on Hospital Drive. Proceed west on Hospital Drive to Virginia
Avenue, then north on Virginia Avenue to Rollins Street. 
	The work should be completed and the street should be reopened,
weather permitting, by Wednesday, June 2, at 7 p.m. Motorists and
pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the
construction area and use an alternate route whenever possible.
