Lane restrictions at the intersection of Broadway,  Garth Avenue

	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department
announced today that beginning Monday, May 24, at 9 a.m., Infrasource
Utility Construction, the contractor working for Ameren UE, will
resurface a previous street patch. 
	This work will result in lane restrictions at the intersection
of Broadway and Garth Avenue as follows: 

Broadway, eastbound traffic - The southern eastbound lane will be
closed near and through the intersection of Garth Avenue. No right turns
will be allowed to go south on Garth Avenue. 

Broadway, westbound traffic - Both westbound lanes should remain open.
No left turns will be allowed to go south on Garth Avenue. 

Garth Avenue, northbound traffic - Traffic may proceed north and west
as signals and opposing traffic allows. No right turns will be allowed
to go east on Broadway. 

Garth Avenue, southbound traffic - Traffic may proceed south, east and
west as signals and opposing traffic allows.
	
Traffic will be routed as such with signs and barricades. Some
sidewalks in this area will be marked closed, as well. The work should
be completed and the street should be fully reopened that afternoon,
weather permitting. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise
extreme caution when in the construction area and to use an alternate
route whenever possible.
