Street closure on Eighth Street

	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department
announced today that beginning Monday, May 24, at 7 a.m., C-Mark, the
contractor working for Cingular Wireless, will begin a crane lift
operation to install equipment on the rooftop at The Tiger Columns. This
work will result in the closure of Eighth Street between Broadway and
Cherry Street. 
	The work should be completed and the street should be reopened
that day, weather permitting, at 11 a.m. Motorists and pedestrians are
urged to exercise extreme caution when in the construction area and use
an alternate route whenever possible.
