Start Construction of the West Ash Street Storm Drainage Improvement
Project

COLUMBIA, MO (November 15, 2004) -- The Public Works Department
announced the beginning of the construction of the West Ash Street Storm
Drainage Improvement Project. West Ash Street, approximately 100 feet
east of McBaine Ave., will be periodically reduced to one lane traffic
as construction progresses through this area to facilitate the
construction of a storm sewer system along the north side of the Ash
Street pavement. 

I & I Works, Inc., of Columbia, was the successful bidder on the
project in the amount of $31,984.50. This project will consist of
approximately 183 linear feet of reinforced concrete pipe, two storm
water inlets and other incidental work.
It is anticipated that construction will be completed by early
December. Care should be exercised in the construction area and
alternate routes should be used.
