Temporary closure of Cherry Street at Fifth Street

COLUMBIA, MO (November 17, 2004) -- The City of Columbia Public Works
Department announced today that beginning Thursday, November 18 at 8
a.m., Admire Construction, the contractor working on the Fifth and
Cherry Sidewalk Project, will continue construction of project-related
brick crosswalks across Cherry Street. This work will result in the
closure of thru traffic on Cherry Street at the intersection. The work
should be completed, weather permitting, and the street should be
reopened within one week.

Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in
the construction area and use an alternate route whenever possible.
