City publishes Thanksgiving holiday schedule

COLUMBIA, MO (November 23, 2004) -- City offices will be closed on
Thursday, Nov. 25, in observance of Thanksgiving Day. Offices will
reopen on Friday, Nov. 26.

Thursday's residential refuse and recycling collection will be delayed
one day until Friday, Nov. 26, and Friday's collection will be delayed
until Saturday, Nov. 27. Questions concerning holiday refuse collection
may be directed to the Solid Waste Division at 874-6291.

City buses will not operate, the sanitary landfill will be closed and
parking meter regulations will not be enforced on Thanksgiving Day.

Though administrative offices for both the Police and Fire Departments
will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, all other emergency services will be
available.
