'What Is the Experience of Our Islamic Community?'-
Connecting Community Through Dialogue
(COLUMBIA, MO) - An October Community Circle "What is the
Experience of Our Islamic Community?" will be held Monday, Oct. 25,
from 6 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. in the Columbia Public Library Friends Room,
100 W. Broadway.
Community Circles offer a unique opportunity to learn about self
and others, to better appreciate differences, and to discover the
commonalities of the human experience. This month will focus on
listening to and sharing with members of the Islamic community.
Community Circles are free events open to the public and are
sponsored by the Human Rights Commission as part of the Community Study
Circles Program. Adults and mature teens from all walks of life are
invited to attend.
Attendees with children can take advantage of a fun, free
theater workshop for children 4 years and older offered by Theater
Reaching Young People and Schools (TRYPS) from 6 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. in the
library. To make reservations, call TRYPS at 449-4536 (voice) by noon on
Monday, Oct. 25.
