Start construction of Rollins & Rothwell Drainage Improvement Project

	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The Public Works Department announced the
beginning  construction of a drainage improvement project along Rollins
Road and Rothwell Drive.  This project is scheduled to begin Oct. 27,
weather permitting. The intersection of Rollins Road and Rothwell Drive
will be closed to thru traffic to facilitate the installation of
reinforced concrete pipe and storm water inlets along both Rollins Road
and Rothwell Drive adjacent to and through the intersection.
	Admire Construction, LLC of Mexico, Mo., was the successful
bidder on the project in the amount of $79,696.80. This project will
consist of 645 linear feet of reinforced concrete pipe along with
concrete storm water inlets, sanitary sewer piping, the addition of an
asphalt speed table in the intersection and other incidental work.
	It is anticipated that construction will be completed this
winter. Care should be exercised in the construction area and alternate
routes should be used.
