SEMA Homeland Security Grant application approved
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia recently received
notification that its application for a  Homeland Security Grant in the
amount of $442,100 has been approved by the State Emergency Management
Agency (SEMA). Items included in the grant application were:
Information Services - 36 GB HD for CAD, RS600 Server for CAD, server
for security system and SSA disk enclouser for CAD

Health Department - Health Alert Network

Information Services/Emergency Management - Business 
Communications Manager, Cyber DS1 telephone circuit and Digital Trunk
Media Bay

Joint Communications - CAD/Paging Interface, Geac/CAD I-status, GEO 
Builder and radio system enhancement

Public Works - Electric Doors Op-Center and Video Surveillance
Electronic 
Sub-Station

The next step for acceptance of the grant is City Council approval.
