Temporary closure of Eighth Street between Broadway and Cherry Street

	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department
announced today that beginning Monday, Sept. 13, at 7 a.m., Schultz
Crane, the contractor working for the Tiger Columns, will begin a crane
lift operation at 23 S. Eighth Street. This work will result in the
closure of Eighth Street between Broadway and Cherry Street. 
	The work should be completed and the street should be reopened
that day at 10:30 a.m. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise
extreme caution when in the construction area and use an alternate route
whenever possible.
