Visual artists to display and sell their work

COLUMBIA, MO (September 10, 2004) -- The thirteenth annual Columbia
Festival of the Arts will feature 50 local and regional artists who will
exhibit and sell their artwork. A variety of media will be represented
including jewelry, wood, watercolor, photography, clay, pastels,
ceramics, sculpture, mixed media, glass, printmaking, oil, acrylics,
caricature, metal and fiber.

This year's 50 artists come from various locations in Missouri,
including six from Columbia, 18 from other Missouri cities and towns,
and states such as, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas,
Minnesota, Oklahoma and Michigan. Each artist submitted an application
to exhibit at the Festival and was chosen through a juried process.

The Festival is free and open to the public. It will be held at the
Boone County Courthouse Square and surrounding streets in downtown
Columbia on Sept. 25-26. Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both
days.
