Festival to celebrate the Arts

	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The thirteenth annual Columbia Festival of the
Arts will bring performing, visual and literary artists to downtown
Columbia on Sept. 25-26.
	Fifty regional artists will exhibit and sell their work, ranging
from watercolor, fiber, wood, oil, glass, ceramics, sculpture, jewelry
and photography. Artwork by Columbia Public Schools students will be on
display in the Boone County Government Center.
	More than 40 performances of dance, music, theater and
storytelling will take place on two stages. A third stage will feature
local authors and will focus on the literary arts.
	Activities for children at the Festival will include puppet
shows, interactive theater, storytelling, comedy, string games, origami,
painting, and much more. Food vendors will be on hand with
taste-tempting treat	
	The Festival is free and open to the public. It will be held at
the Boone County Courthouse Square and surrounding streets in downtown
Columbia on Sept. 25-26.  Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both
days.
