Swing into action with Douglass baseball

COLUMBIA, MO (April 5, 2005) -- Columbia Parks and Recreation and the
Douglass Athletic Association sponsor the Douglass baseball program.
Youth ages 5 - 14 will enjoy having fun while learning basic baseball
skills in a non-competitive, co-rec league. Coaches are on the field
during the games. Games will be played on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and
Thursday evenings at Douglass Park, located at Providence and Rogers
Streets. 

The fee is $15 dollars per child and uniforms are included. If a family
has more than three children, additional children will be covered by the
league. Registration forms are available at the Parks and Recreation
office at 1 S 7th Street, the Armory Sports Center at 701 E Ash, the ARC
at 1701 W Ash or on line at www.GoColumbiaMO.com . Register by April 15,
league play begins June 6 and ends July 28. Sponsors, volunteer coaches
and umpires are needed.
