Start construction of Claudell Lane Drainage Improvement
Project	
								
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The Public Works Department announced the
beginning of the construction of a drainage improvement project across
Claudell Lane. This project is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 11,
weather permitting. Claudell Lane will be reduced down to one-lane
traffic during construction to facilitate the installation of reinforced
concrete pipe, inlets and sanitary sewers across and along Claudell
Lane. 
	J. C. Industries, Inc. of Jefferson City, Mo., was the
successful bidder on the project in the amount of $38,286. This project
will consist of 225 linear feet of reinforced concrete pipe with
reinforced concrete inlets, 73 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer
piping and other incidental work.
	It is anticipated that construction will be completed by late
May. Care should be exercised in the construction area and alternate
routes should be used.
