National Telecommunications Week is April 10-16
									
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The Association of Public-Safety Communications
Officials International (APCO) has declared April 10-16 National Public
Safety Telecommunications Week. The week is meant to honor
telecommunications professionals who help provide 9-1-1 emergency
assistance to citizens. 
	Jodi Kamp, communications operator II, was named Columbia/Boone
County Public Safety Joint Communications "Operator of the Year."
She was nominated and voted on by her peers for service of excellence.
Kamp was hired as a communications operator on April 30, 2001 and was
promoted to communications operator II on Dec. 22, 2002.
