Bike, Walk & Wheel Week committee names morning talk show host Lile as honorary chair									
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - Planning is underway for this year's Bike, Walk & Wheel Week to be celebrated May 7-14. Judy Knudson is coordinating the event for the fourth consecutive year and the planning committee is very excited that KFRU's David Lile has agreed to serve as the honorary chairperson. 
	Lile has been very supportive of Bike, Walk & Wheel Week over the past three years and of health issues in general. 
	"I admire those around me who do run their errands and commute to work under their own power. I'd like to see the community remain a friendly place for this kind of travel," Lile said.  
	Bike, Walk & Wheel Week is an opportunity to:
*	encourage community members to walk, bicycle or wheel themselves to and 
	from their destinations,
*	increase awareness of the importance of regular physical activity,
*	increase awareness of the importance of improved pedestrian safety,
*	promote healthy and walkable communities, and to 
*	mobilize communities to work together to create safe routes.
