One lane of the Business Loop closed to replace water
valves

(COLUMBIA, MO) - Columbia Water and Light will install three new
water main valves in the southernmost lane of Business Loop 70 West from
Sexton Road to Madison Street on Tuesday, July 12, from 8 a.m. to 4:30
p.m., weather permitting. Traffic heading east will be restricted to
one lane, from Sexton Road to Madison Street, while the work is being
completed. Those entering the Business Loop from Sexton Road and Jackson
Street will have limited access. Motorists are urged to use caution
while driving in this area.
Water customers in the area will continue to have service while
the new valves are being installed. After the project is completed, the
water lines will be flushed. Customers in the area might notice a
slight discoloration in their water. Those that experience this problem
should let the water run for a few minutes until the discoloration has
disappeared. The water will continue to be safe to drink.
