Closure of Portland Street between Albany Drive and Lansing Avenue
									
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department
announced today that beginning Monday, June 20, at 7 a.m., Central
Missouri Plumbing, the contractor working for Lemone Family Limited
Partnership, will begin work on a water line extension. This work will
result in the closure of Portland Street between Albany Drive and
Lansing Avenue. 
	Portland Street shall remain accessible to the north and
immediately south of Lansing Avenue. The work should be completed and
the street should be reopened, weather permitting, by Wednesday, June
22, at 7 p.m.
	Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution
when in the construction area and use an alternate route whenever
possible.
