Second annual 'TEEN SPEAK!' - A Place at the Table: Video and
Voices of Local Teens
	
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - High school teens, recent graduates and adults
with a concern for the present and an eye towards the future are invited
to attend the second annual "Teen Speak!"  Community Circle
Wednesday, June 29, from 6 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. in the Columbia Public
Library Friends Room.
 	"A Place at the Table: Video and Voices of Local Teens" is
an opportunity for young people to speak and for parents, educators,
mentors, and community leaders to listen to what they have to say. Video
excerpts will be narrated by teens who share stories of their
families' struggles to find justice and equality in our nation's
pluralistic society. Local teens will also share their own challenges of
finding "a place at the table" today. Refreshments will be served.
Bring a snack to share if you are able. 
	Community Circles are free, ongoing events open to the public
and sponsored by the Columbia Human Rights Commission. Previous or
regular attendance is not required. Come with an open mind and
willingness to participate on some level with other community members.
