Armory Sports Center extends Saturday hours
COLUMBIA, MO (June 28, 2005) -- Columbia youth now have new recreation
opportunities on Saturday nights. The Armory Sports Center is now open
on Saturdays from 7 to 11 p.m.
The gymnasium at the Armory is open for basketball and volleyball
during those times. Tables are also set up for cards, dominoes and board
games. Or, youth can just spend time with friends in a fun, supervised
environment. Activities on Saturday nights are free.
Youth between 12 and 14 are invited to participate between 7 and 9 p.m.
Older youth between the ages of 15 and 17 participate between 9 and 11
p.m.
No adults are admitted into the Armory during the late Saturday
activities.
The Armory Sports Center will be closed this Saturday (July 2) for the
Independence Day holiday. It will also be closed July 30 for the State
Show Me Games, which will be using the facility.
