FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
October 25, 2005

CONTACT: Public Works Department
(573) 874-7250

Opening of Trimble Road at East Broadway (Route WW)

(COLUMBIA, MO) - The Public Works Department announced that
beginning Monday, Oct. 31, the new signalized Trimble Road intersection
at East Broadway will be open to traffic. Emery Sapp and Sons Inc., of
Columbia, will open Trimble Road to public traffic. Access to Conley
Road to the north will be via Trimble Road instead of the Brickton Road
intersection.
In conjunction with this opening, the intersection of Brickton
Road with East Broadway will be closed to traffic to allow for
reconstruction. The existing signals at this intersection will be
permanently removed. The Brickton Road intersection is expected to be
closed for approximately two weeks, weather permitting.
It is anticipated that total project construction will be
completed in the winter of 2005. East Broadway will remain open to
traffic throughout the reconstruction, however, temporary delays in
traffic flow as construction progresses should be expected. Care should
be exercised in the construction area and alternate routes should be
used.
