Disaster Relief Center transitioning and scaling back to normal
services operations

	The Disaster Relief Center located in the Boone County Community
Partnership at Parkade Center will begin downscaling activities and
transitioning services back to the normal service organizations. The
Boone County Community Partnership will return to normal hours, 8 a.m.
to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Evacuees who come to the Boone County
Community Partnership seeking services for disaster relief will be
referred to the proper service organizations. 
	The Boone County Chapter of the American Red Cross, 1801 West
Worley Street, will assume the role as primary coordinator for evacuee
relief efforts in Boone County. The Red Cross offices will be open
during normal hours, M-F, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Red Cross office may also
be reached by calling (573) 445-9411. The Red Cross will continue to
provide after-hours emergency services by utilizing the call-out
procedures outlined in the recorded message when calling the Red Cross
phone number. 
	The Red Cross, Salvation Army, Voluntary Action Center,
Columbia/Boone County Health Department, and other service agencies that
are members of the Community Organizations Assisting in Disaster's
(C.O.A.D.) will all resume their normal hours of operations and
services.
