Bike, Walk & Wheel Week committee names Missouri Senator Graham as honorary chair									
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - Planning is almost complete for this year's Bike, Walk & Wheel Week to be celebrated May 6-13. Judy Knudson is coordinating the event for the fifth consecutive year and 19th District Senator Chuck Graham is serving as the honorary chairperson. 
	Senator Graham is in his first term as the state senator from the 19th District, which includes both Boone and Randolph counties. Prior to his service in the Senate, he worked as the Missouri Coordinator for the ADA Project at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He was responsible for providing training and technical assistance to business, state and local governments and people with disabilities across the state.	
	Bike, Walk & Wheel Week is an opportunity to:
*	encourage community members to walk, bicycle or wheel themselves to and from their destinations,
*	increase awareness of the importance of regular physical activity,
*	increase awareness of the importance of improved pedestrian safety,
*	promote healthy and walkable communities, and to 
*	mobilize communities to work together to create safe routes.
