Resume downtown alley approach replacement project	
								
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department
announced today that beginning Tuesday, April 11, I & I Works Inc., the
contractor working for the city, will resume work on a downtown alley
approach replacement project. This work will result in the temporary
closure of various alleys in the downtown area as listed below.
	Fifth Street - east side between Ash and Park
	Tenth Street - east side between Locust and Cherry
	Hitt Street - west side between Cherry and Broadway
	Short Street - east side between Broadway and Walnut
	Each of the alleys shall be closed approximately three days. The
work should be completed and all alleys should be reopened, weather
permitting, by Friday, May 5, at 7 p.m. Motorists and pedestrians are
urged to exercise extreme caution when in the construction area and use
an alternate route whenever possible.
