Inaugural First Ward Study Circle Series -
Citizen Dialogue: Toward A More Perfect Union In An Age Of Diversity
(COLUMBIA, MO) - First Ward residents, leaders, business owners
and others are invited to participate in honest, respectful, facilitated
small-group dialogue at the inaugural First Ward Study Circle Series,
scheduled to begin Tuesday, April 25, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at St.
Luke's United Methodist Church, 204 E. Ash. Participants must
register by 3 p.m. April 25 and be available to attend all sessions of
the series: April 25, May 2, May 9 and May 16. There is no cost. Space
is limited.
In January, the Columbia Human Rights Commission held "First
Ward Dialogue - Impulse for Action" to begin to address race and
diversity in the First Ward. It was attended by 30 First Ward residents
and concerned citizens, including First Ward Ambassadors leaders, First
Ward Councilwoman Almeta Crayton and Mayor Darwin Hindman.
