Public invited to discuss Sewer Master Plan

COLUMBIA, MO (December 7, 2006) -- 

WHAT: Two informal public meetings concerning the city’s Sanitary Sewer Utility Master Plan. The public may view the plan and make comments. City staff will be present to answer questions.

WHEN AND WHERE:
* Wednesday, Dec. 13, from 4 - 6 p.m. in the Mezzanine Conference Room, Daniel Boone Building, 701 E. Broadway

* Saturday, Dec.16, from 1 - 3 p.m. in the Conference Room, Columbia Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant, 4900 W. Gillespie Bridge Rd. 

BACKGROUND:
This long-range planning document outlines Columbia’s future sewer treatment and collection system needs through the year 2030. The proposed plan is not intended to direct where growth will occur, but it provides information regarding sewer facilities that would be required if growth occurs.
