Let's Talk Columbia! 'Emmanuel's Gift'

COLUMBIA, MO (December 12, 2006) -- “LET'S TALK, COLUMBIA!” is an opportunity for citizen involvement in dialogues on diversity. The program is sponsored by the Commission on Human Rights. The Commission’s goal is that through personal interaction, understanding is fostered and relationships are strengthened, creating a greater community-wide appreciation for human diversity.

This month’s topic will address human dignity and justice. Youth and adults are invited to attend a viewing of “Emmanuel’s Gift”, an inspiring award winning documentary narrated by Oprah Winfrey. “Emmanuel’s Gift” tells the story of a disabled orphan, Emmanuel Ofosu Yeboah from Ghana, who rose above poverty and a severe physical challenge to become a hero and an inspiration to people around the world.
