Carrier to pull service from Columbia Regional Airport

(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city has been notified by Trans States
Airlines, the carrier at Columbia Regional Airport, of its intent to
pull services from Columbia effective June 7. The city will do
everything it can to attract a new carrier to Columbia.
"We're disappointed to lose the air service but are working
hard to restore service with different carriers and are optimistic about
that," said Mayor Darwin Hindman. "We realize air service is
important to Columbia so we'll make every effort to retain commercial
air service and in the long run improve the situation."
