Public input invited about leash-free area

COLUMBIA, MO (July 5, 2006) -- Columbia Parks and Recreation is hosting
a meeting for the public regarding the proposed leash-free area at the
Garth Nature Area. The meeting will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on
Monday, July 10, at the Nature Area, which is located on Garth Avenue at
the access to the Bear Creek Trail. 

The public is invited to share input at that time regarding the
proposed area. Parks staff will also be available to answer questions
and provide information. For more information, call Parks and Recreation
at 874-7460.
