August Older American Klub & 50+ programs

COLUMBIA, MO (July 20, 2006) -- Columbia Parks and Recreation’s Older
American Klub offers many programs for those 50 and older. Join the fun
at Parkade Center, 601 Business Loop 70W, Ste 216B (east side) for
music, dance, crafts and more. 

Potluck & Bingo
Friday, Aug. 4, 11:30 a.m., 50 cents

Jamm and Dance Session
Friday, Aug. 11, 7-10 p.m., free

Summer Dance
Friday, Aug. 18, 7-10 p.m., $3

Pool Tournament
Friday, Aug. 25, 10:30 a.m., $1

Missouri State Fair trip
Enjoy Dollar Day at the fair in Sedalia! A motorcoach will take the
group for a day at the State Fair on Thursday, Aug. 10. Depart Parkade
Center at 9 a.m. and return at 5 p.m. Cost is $15 plus $1 fair
admission.

Solo Cooking
Tuesday, Aug. 22, 4:30 p.m., $5, Sanford-Kimpton Health Department
building

OAK 50+ Explorers
Thurs., Aug. 24, Museum of Art and Archaeology-UMC followed by lunch at
Heidelberg. $5 plus lunch. Call 874-7475 to register. 

Daily Activities
Coffee & Gab: 1st and 3rd Tuesday, 9 a.m.
Painting: Mondays, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Ceramics: Tuesdays -Thursdays, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Wednesdays, 5:30-9:30
p.m.
Crafts: Fridays, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Bingo: Tuesdays, 2 p.m.
Pool: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
OAK Jammers/Goldenaires: Wednesdays, 1-3 p.m.
Choir: 1st and 3rd Tuesday, 10-11 a.m.
Bell Choir: 2nd and 4th Monday, 2:30-3:30 p.m. 
Variety Band: 2nd and 4th Thursday, 10-11 a.m.
Rhythm Band: 2nd and 4th Thursday, 2-3 p.m.
Ukelele: 1st and 3rd Monday, 2-3:30 p.m.
