Residential structure fire at 600 Orange Street

COLUMBIA, MO (March 6, 2006) -- On Sunday, March 5, at 3:27 p.m., units
of the Columbia Fire Department responded to a residential structure
fire at 600 Orange Street.

Units arrived on the scene to find flames visible from the front of the
home. Firefighters entered the front door and quickly extinguished the
fire. A search of the home was conducted and revealed the home was
unoccupied. Fire and smoke damage extended throughout this single-story
residence. There were no injuries during this incident.

Damage estimates to the structure are in excess of $50,000. The fire
remains under investigation.
