RACE-The Dialogue Continues...People of Color: "A Listen-In"
Circle

(COLUMBIA, MO) - The next Community Circle will be held
Wednesday, March 15, from 6:00-8:45 p.m. at the Daniel Boone Public
Library in the Friends community room.
Race is a difficult topic. The dialogue on race that began at
January's Community Circle continues this month. A unique format
called a "Listen-In" Circle, candid sharing from a particular
group's individual perspectives while others "listen in," will
once again be used.
This model has proven to be a powerful tool for hearing and
understanding personal life experiences and viewpoints. Mature teens and
adults of all ages and from all backgrounds are welcome.
The event is free and open to the public. Registration is not
required. Call (573) 874-7488 (v/tty) or e-mail HRC at GoColumbiaMo.com for
transportation assistance or disability accommodations. Refreshments
will be provided.
Community Circles are held monthly by the Human Rights
Commission to strengthen community relationships by engaging citizens in
meaningful dialogues on diversity.
