Residential structure fire at 600 Orange Street; fire investigators
arrest suspect

COLUMBIA, MO (March 16, 2006) -- On Sunday, March 5, 2006 at 3:27 p.m.,
units of the Columbia Fire Department responded to a residential
structure fire at 600 Orange Street.

This morning, March 16, Columbia fire investigators, with assistance
from the Columbia Police Department, arrested Brandon Kewley, 28, in
connection with an incendiary fire which occurred on March 5 at his
home, located at 600 Orange Street. Kewley was arrested at the Best
Value Inn, located at 1718 Providence Road North, and charged with arson
in the first degree. He was transported to the Boone County Adult
Detention Facility where he awaits a hearing to determine his
eligibility for bond and bond amount.
