Register for Camp Adventure 2006

COLUMBIA, MO (March 20, 2006) -- Registration for Columbia Parks and
Recreation's Camp Adventure will begin at 7 a.m. on April 5 at the
Activity and Recreation Center (ARC). All camp registrations must be
made in person with a completed application. No phone registrations will
be accepted. Registration forms can also be accessed online at
www.GoColumbiaMo.com. Enrollment is open to children who will be
starting first grade in fall 2006 and includes children who have
completed seventh grade.

This year, Camp Adventure will move from its usual spot at Nifong Park
to the new Riechmann Pavilion at Stephens Lake Park. The pavilion will
offer campers the chance to enjoy the same exciting activities, while
providing an air-conditioned haven on hot summer days. 

Camp Adventure kids experience many aspects of outdoor education,
including canoeing, firecraft, outdoor cooking, swimming, archery, first
aid, arts and crafts, hiking, outdoor games, fishing and much more. 

Camp sessions will be held on these dates. Each regular session costs
$190 and Escapade Week will cost $97.50:

Session I: June 12 - June 23
Session II: June 26 - July 7 (skip 7/4) 
Escapade Week: July 10 - July 14 
Session III: July 17 - July 28 
Session IV: July 31 - Aug 11 

Escapade Week is a limited enrollment mini-camp offering swimming,
field trips, sports and many surprises. 

Before/after child care is available at Stephens Lake Park for an
additional fee. Pre-registration is required.
Sunrise Club: 7 - 8:30 a.m. $15 per session
Sunset Club: 4:30 - 6 p.m. $15 per session
